Margaret Anne Hume

As the official biographer of Mary Grannan, Margaret Anne Hume is the Canadian author of Just Mary: The Life of Mary Evelyn Grannan, published in 2006 by the Dundurn Group, Toronto. She is also the editor of “Just Mary” Reader: Mary Grannan, Selected Stories, a new collection of stories and plays, written and broadcast by CBC storyteller Mary Grannan.

Margaret Anne Hume edited and co-authored My Life: Adventures of an RCAF Flying Officer, Eaton's Manager and Family Man with her father, Albert Mair MacLean. The book launch took place at his 90th birthday celebration on April 8, 2012 in Moncton, New Brunswick.

A former librarian at Concordia University, Margaret is a graduate of McGill and the University of New Brunswick.

As a Canadian author, Margaret Anne Hume is an active member of the Canadian Authors Association, and is the current CAA National Chair. She is also a member of the Federation of BC Writers and The Writers Union of Canada.
